what amounts to basically an italianate townhouse, starter-fied. it takes some explaining: this was originally one of my legacy houses, where the top floor was the inlaw suite (hence the exterior entrance), the downstairs is where the main family lived, and the basement was where i stuffed the teenagers. having the top floor be an additional unit makes this house solid to use with the new roommate system: just assign them to the top, lock them out of the bottom, and watch as they quietly fill all their needs without rooting around in your shit.
comes totally undecorated and furnished with the absolute bare minimum of basics. (even the upstairs has been given the “caught mid-renovation” treatment; with $14 to spare, there wasn’t enough money left for wall covering aside from the free wood panels.) the architecture definitely took up most of the budget on this one.
